What Do They Expect When There are NO MORE DECENT JOBS anymore?

Over 100 million Americans on Federal Welfare.

The sad thing is the right wing will tell the employed and upper classes, those "poor people" are dragging the country down, we need to cut them off! This is the purpose the Tea Party served to take the heat off the banker bail-outs and trillions of dollars streaming overseas and put it on the increasing numbers of the poor of America as the 'culprit" for the national debt.

The left wing will have Obama continue to sign more NAFTA like bills like the Trans-Pacific and who is just as committed to the globalist vision destroying America. What else do you think will happen when American workers are competing against enslaved third world workers who work for pennies a day?

Barack Obama: We Must Embrace Globalism And The Emerging One World Economy

Neither the Democratic or Republican party care about these issues. The politicians are committed to the multinational corporations, and these corporations have thrown America over board for the global market, that means for the average America watching things spiral down here. Who finances all the elections? Think about that one. Outside of some vague mentions of outsourcing, most are ignoring the main reason our economy is crumbling.

Free Trade Or Fair Trade? 20 Reasons Why All Americans Should Be Against The Insane Trade Policies Of The Globalists

Global Economy? 23 Facts Which Prove That Globalism Is Pushing The Standard Of Living Of The Middle Class Down To Third World Levels

No one will question a system set up where the majority of people cannot even afford basic bills anymore and where ONE THIRD of the population needs such help.

What I fear seeing something like this, is there will be just more "blame the victims" rhetoric, they will shove under the carpet the trillions that have gone to useless wars, rebuilding other countries! and the banker bail-outs. Already we hear about the "lazy good-for nothings" from the right wing day in and day out, while all these bigger issues are papered over. There is a cry now by the useless politicians to remove or severely cut the social safety nets. And for those who think it's a bad idea that so many are dependent on the government, I agree, that is not a good outcome, but where are the jobs? How can people make it anymore when wages have been so suppressed and so many are unemployed and the prices rising faster then a rocket?  Look at the bigger picture here and what is happening. People don't even live on the land anymore to produce their own food, community and family have broken down. What other options do they have?--The Squawker

  1. Instead worrying about that blaming the victim bs, start concerning yourself those that game the system and like playing the victim. The only place playing the victim gets you sympathy are places like this. You are poverty pimps, and don't think for one minute you're not going to get called out on it.

  2. Expect likewise, dear boy, when you make silly comments like the above. I'm not sure what we're pimping, as this site takes no advertising revenue. In case you haven't noticed -- and it's rather apparent that you haven't -- the system in which you put so much naive faith has been gaming the lot of us for 30-odd years now. Our blog is about giving a voice to people at the bottom, whether it's ourselves, or others -- look for interviews soon along those lines. As for the rest, if you don't like it, don't read it, dear boy!

    1. pimping in this case refers to putting the poor out there for exploitation. of course you will never generate any money from a site like this. no one will fund something that sypathizes with underachievement and playing the victim. winners beget revenue. I am talking about the county welfare entitlement system. it is gamed every day by able bodied people that don't want to work, have no intention of working and can only exist on and for govt dependence. noodler all systems are gamed, its just that this particular disgust so many people.

    2. How does this blog exploit the poor? It protests the exploitation of the poor. Sheesh. LOL you can't claim you'll never make money and then call us pimps in the same sentence without contradicting yourself. Most people on welfare would rather have jobs.Is there some people who game the system and make it generational but have you even read this blog and what has happened to millions in this country who were told NO JOB FOR YOU? What do you expect people to do. You act as if jobs are able to be plucked off trees. Stop watching Fox news, you sound a bit brainwashed and unknowledgeable about what is happening. -_The Squawker.

    3. you tell these little "fascinating-down and out" stories and then get others to chime in with their little down and out stories and then its like who has the best woes me story. you then put it on line for everyone to read and comment on. whether you get paid for it isn't the point. you are pimping the poor for exploitation, you don't see it that way but thats the way its seen to most.

Most people that stay on welfare don't want a job. I know you're wanting to save the world, playing advocate and stamping out social injustice and all, or so you think. but you need to face the fact that some people have just outlived their usefulness.

You seem to know more about fox news than I do, I'm just telling you what this world is really all about and you're telling people its ok to play the victim.

On another note we have actually kept a long term not working from getting a job because of all of their bs rabble rousing. there are consequences for being on the wrong side of an issue. whiners and especially non productive whiners are going to have problems. This person is now at the point of begging for employment help, when they should have been doing this years ago. Even asked me ~ and I said nope.

    4. Seb, old bean, life isn't like an episode of "McGyver" -- where you can make a hand grenade out of a banana to get out of any tight situation! Your sloganeering omits the unpleasant fact that, for many, the boostraps that you want them to use in their quest for upward mobility have been cut and slashed to the point of absurdity.

But you seem to think it's OK that the top 1 percent live at everyone else's expense -- that surely makes you more of a pimp than I could ever dream of becoming! However, even if we take that slogan at face value, the fact is, we're not putting ourselves up as leaders: we simply hold up a mirror to social reality, however unpleasant, and if it shines back dirty, then so be it.

We call things as we see them, so if you're looking for someone to back down, you came to the wrong place...but come back any time. We've got plenty more lumps of coal to put in your stocking, if you're looking to start a collection. --The Reckoner.

  3. Sebastian,

What about those playing the system on top? You know the bought and sold politicians, giving trillions of dollars to their banker buddies in the bail-outs? Why aren't you worried about THAT GAMING OF THE SYSTEM.

What is this poverty pimp nonsense? PIMPS are RICH and have the cash flowing in, WE DON'T. You need to keep your definitions straight. So let me get this straight any poor person who writes a blog about their life, and about how things are changing in American society, are PIMPS by your reckoning? How do you arrive at those conclusions? Hey if you have no sympathy, that's your problem not mine, obviously writing a blog like this, we are not naive to how the world really is--The Squawker.

    1. It is exploitation and it glamourizing poverty. people want to hear success stories, not how to dumpster dive for fun and profit. pimps in this case refers to that exploitation. I'd have respect for you IF you did make money from real pimping. why not try that put some girls to work. feel some cash flow.

    2. what are you one of those positive thinking types who only wants to see the lollipops and rainbows you pointed out to me? Yeah I know this country is full of head in the sand types who brainwashed by Tony Robbins and pals can't stand to see anything NEGATIVE or deal with reality. Hey, your suggestion for us to go pimp, suggest to us, where your morality lies which is in the toilet, so wonder you refuse to admit what is happening to the American economy--The Squawker.

    3. If you want to go thru life with a negative attitude you'll suffer. Right now its fun playing the victim and pushing that entitlement agenda of yours I know. It doesn't last forever and its probably going to end badly for you. But whats that matter to us successful people? So by all means press on. We deal with negativity by bettering ourselves, by owning and overcoming the situation, not just whining about it. Thats what we serious people do. Not place blame everwhere, but yourself.

    4. I'm afraid, dear boy, that you don't know how to read. Only by exposing the injustices that you so blandly gloss over will the status quo actually change, and get better for everyone. In your case, we apparently struck a nerve, because -- like some of you other ultra-right chaps who do battle here -- you seem personally offended by the idea that anyone should question the status quo from which you claim to benefit. We don't expect everyone to agree, but neither do we apologize for ruffling any feathers, including your own. --The Reckoner

    5. What status quo? you've already made your minds up that playing the victim is the way you're going to live your lives. fine, but you should stop drawing others into thinking that somehow this will somehow make you more sympathetic and the louder you squeak the more govt largesse will come your way. sorry buds it doesn't work that way. get some new boots. the best of you were forgotten in less than five minutes.

  4. "Define playing the victim". I am very curious how someone who freelances and is 'self employed" is a victim? Isn't that meeting some of your brainwashed Fox news standards?

Where have we asked for more gov't largesse? We got dropped kicked from the working/middle class. I from illness and the Reckoner from job lay-offs so where are you getting your assumptions from? I don't really want your sympathy, in fact I know it's low in narcissist land. In fact this tells me you are missing the entire point of this website and perhaps should go elsewhere to speak with other like minded folks at Free Republic with other sheeple types, who refuse to look at what is going on and think the American economy is "improving". For whatever reason this website disturbs you. Good, maybe it will help wake up a few brain cells.
